Agriculture picks dozen for cloud-based software pact / Posnov

One block of awards to the hyperscalers remains for the department with respect to Stratus, its centralized procurement for all things cloud computing.

The Agriculture Department has chosen 12 companies for a set of 10-year basic ordering agreements that designate them as main providers of software products that are accessed via cloud environments.

Agriculture issued those awards Friday for the third pool of Stratus, a centralized procurement the department set up to further drive cloud computing adoption across its enterprise.

This newest batch of BOA awards follow Agriculture's move earlier in April to award Stratus' second pool, which went to three dozen cloud integration and development support providers.

Pool three is largely designed for resellers and other similar-type providers of software-as-a-service products that agencies bring in via enterprise licenses and other similar types of agreements.

Unrestricted track winners are:

  • Carahsoft
  • CDW Government
  • CGI Federal
  • Red River
  • Unison

Restricted track winners are:

  • Inonde
  • KL&A
  • RavenTek Solution Partners
  • Technology Solutions Provider
  • ThunderCat
  • Vinsys Information Tech
  • vTech Solution

The department received 41 quotes in total for pool three, for which the performance period is slated to begin April 25 and run through April 24, 2034.

Pool one of Stratus is exclusive to hyperscale cloud infrastructure providers and that solicitation is currently under construction.
