Veterans Affairs replaces one T4NG2 prime

The Veterans Affairs Department has taken one company off the list of winners for the potential 10-year $60 billion T4NG2 IT services contract awarded in the fall.

VA has replaced Sierra7 with CGI Federal, according to Thursday posting on Sam.gov.

VA structured the Transformation Twenty-one Total Technology Next Generation 2 vehicle to have 30 winners with 15 spots reserved for small businesses in the various designations.

When VA made awards in October, more than 15 small businesses were on the list of 30. With Sierra7 eliminated, VA moved up the next company with the highest score and that was CGI Federal.

We reached out to Sierra7 for comment but they have not responded.

A CGI executive expressed excitement that the company won a spot on the vehicle. It gives the company an opportunity to “bring our global healthcare expertise and business transformation capabilities to support the care and benefits for our nation’s veterans, caregivers and survivors,” said Monica Winthrop, senior vice president at CGI.

T4NG2 replaces the original T4NG vehicle that saw $14.8 billion in spend flow through it since being opened for business in 2016, according to GovTribe data.

VA uses the vehicle to acquire a wide range of IT services including program management, enterprise architecture, software development, enterprise network services, cybersecurity, training and IT facilities.

T4NG2 has a five-year base period and one five-year option.
