January's 20 most talked-about contract opportunities
GovTribe's most recent analysis of its website traffic highlights these competitions as of heightened interest for contractors.
The new year starts off with management consulting, small business research and a large multiple-award vehicle among the most searched and visited opportunities on GovTribe, our sibling organization focused on market research.
You would think that a contract like Alliant 3, whose predecessor has a $75 billion ceiling, would be number one on GovTribe's list of top 20 opportunities for January. It comes in at No. 4 instead.
GovTribe establishes the rankings via an analysis of traffic on its website.
The most-visited opportunity in their database is an amendment to a Federal Transit Administration solicitation for project management oversight.
Proposals for the contract are due Jan. 11, so it makes sense that lots of people are visiting that opportunity.
In fact, several of the top opportunities on the GovTribe list have imminent deadlines.
Opportunity No. 2 is a Marine Corps solicitation for professional services that include logistics, IT, operations and other support. The deadline is fast approaching with proposals due Jan. 25.
The contract MCICOM Professional Services Support contract is a partial set-aside for small businesses.
The third-most visited opportunity is a Small Business Innovation Research solicitation for the Homeland Security Department. Proposals are due Jan. 18.
Phase one contracts will be worth up to $175,000 and phase two awards will range from $1 million-to-$1.5 million. Areas of interest include technology to detect synthetic opioids, 911 dispatchable location systems, software-defined radios and video analysis of drug and human smuggling.
No. 4 is Alliant 3 as we mentioned. Responses to the draft solicitation are due Jan. 15 with the final request for proposals due in the spring and awards later this year. The 10-year vehicle includes set-asides for multiple small businesses.
Like with Alliant 2, the contract covers a broad range of IT services and solutions.
No. 5: Project Vulcan Forge is an Air Force project to modernize its digital infrastructure. This is a commercial solutions opening solicitation. White papers are due Jan. 12. Selected companies will submit full proposals and awards are expected by March.
No. 6: Base Operations Support Services at a naval support facility in Redzikowo, Poland. Proposals were due Jan. 4.
No. 7: NIH Public Information & Communication Services Contract III Proposals for PICS III due Jan. 18. This is a small business set-aside vehicle with a potential $1 billion ceiling.
No. 8: CISA Program Support Services. This is a sources sought notice from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency that is set aside for small businesses.
No. 9: VHA Integrated Healthcare Transformation 2.0. The Veterans Health Administration is looking to put out a solicitation by April.
No. 10: Air Force National Capital Region has a need for systems engineering and technical assistance. Proposals were due Jan. 5.
No. 11-20
