USAID chooses 7 for $800M program support vehicle
Economic- and security-centric development programs in Mexico and Central America are the focus of this contract.
The U.S. Agency for International Development has awarded seven companies positions on a seven-year, $800 million contract vehicle for broad professional services in support of USAID programs across Mexico and Central America.
USAID received 13 bids in total for the Central America Regional Support Services vehicle and made awards Monday, according to Federal Procurement Data System records.
The list of awardees announced Wednesday is:
- Chemonics International
- Creative Associates International
- DAI Global
- Dexis Interactive
- Palladium International
- Research Triangle Institute
- Tetra Tech-DRG joint venture
USAID's objectives in Mexico and Central America include addressing economic insecurity and lack of opportunity; plus strengthening democratic governance, the rule of law and respect for both human rights and a free media.
The agency is also working to help countries in that region improve resilience to potential threats from climate, food security and health problems; plus strengthen the capacity of USAID's local partners.
This contract is a brand new requirement with no incumbent.
