Find opportunities — and win them.

The Defense Logistics Agency appears to have re-evaluated at least some bids after a pair of protests.

The Defense Logistics Agency has added one company to a potential $3.2 billion contract vehicle first awarded in April for equipment and other services in support of so-called "C5ISR" systems.

DLA announced Thursday that the newest awardee is DataPath, a defense communications technology maker in the process of being acquired by satellite networking company Gilat.

DataPath becomes the 10th company to become part of the program focused on command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.

After the initial April awards there was a pair of protests filed by AR1 Joint Venture and Enterprise Cabling.

Both protests were dismissed in May for an apparent re-evaluation of at least some bids for the C5ISR Gateway to Sustainment vehicle. DLA received 16 proposals multiple-award contract.

The Army is the primary buyer for the contract and the Communications-Electronic Command is the main user within that. Other Defense Department and civilian agencies can place orders through the vehicle as well.
