DLA chooses 9 firms for $3.2B 'C5ISR' supply contract

The Defense Logistics Agency's primary customer here is the Army, but other Defense Department and civilian agencies can also use the contract.
The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded nine companies positions on a potential 10-year, $3.2 billion contract vehicle for equipment and other services in support of so-called "C5ISR" systems.
DLA's primary customer for the contract is the Army and more specifically that service branch's Communications-Electronic Command, but other Defense Department and civilian agencies can place orders through the vehicle as well.
DLA received 16 proposals and announced these winners Thursday:
- Amentum
- Atlantic Diving Supply (small business)
- Centuria Group (service-disabled, veteran-owned small business)
- Fairwinds Technologies (small business)
- L3Harris Technologies
- Micro USA (small business)
- Science Applications International Corp.
- STS International (veteran-owned small business)
- TeleCommunication Systems (acquired by Comtech Communications Corp.)
The C5ISR Gateway to Sustainment contract covers both standard and non-standard equipment for command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
Companies will also carry out engineering studies, repairs, testing and design updates.
Work will take place over an initial five-year base period, followed by up to five individual option years. This contract is a brand new requirement with no incumbent.
