Army now taking bids for $975M training contract

Small businesses will have their own set-aside track to focus on, if they so choose.

The Army has unveiled the final solicitation for the recompete of a potential $975 million training and technical support services contract.

Proposals for the five-year Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II vehicle are due Nov. 22, the Army said in its Sam.gov notice Friday.

MTCCS II will have two tracks, one being unrestricted and the second reserved for small businesses with five awards for each to make 10 total.

Training and technical and communications are the two primary task areas for this contract. The Army is also seeking services in operations and logistics, as well as planning.

Iteration one of the MTCCS contract went to seven companies in 2017.

Cubic Corp. has since taken the largest share of task order spend at around $254.5 million, according to Deltek data. General Dynamics' IT services unit and Northrop Grumman are next at $145.4 million and $134.1 million in spend, respectively.
