Lumen wins $1.5B DISA network services contract

Lumen Technologies has won a potential 10-year, $1.5 billion contract to help the Defense Information Systems Agency operate telecommunications networks and infrastructure.

DISA received three offers for the contract that covers services across the Indo-Pacific Command's area of responsibility that includes Alaska, the Pentagon said in its Tuesday awards digest.

Solicitation documents indicate Lumen will be responsible for equipping that regionalized portion of the Defense Information System Network with the capacity it needs for transferring voice, data, video and imagery between users.

Verizon has been the incumbent on this contract dating back to 2009, according to Deltek data.
