General Dynamics has won a potential eight-year, $908 million contract for enterprise IT and network services to U.S. Air Force personnel located in Europe and Africa.

Six companies pursued the award that has an initial five-year base period followed by an optional three-year ordering term, the Pentagon said in its Thursday awards digest. Performance under task orders can continue up through 2032.

The European-Wide Information Technology Enterprise Network procurement covers IT support services, voice and information systems, network control center support and cyber readiness among other areas.

GD's IT services business will also be responsible for activities related to research-and-development, systems engineering, testing and evaluation, training, operations and maintenance, and technical support.

Work will take place in Germany, Italy, Turkey, the U.K. and other other locations throughout Europe.
