The NewSpring Holdings-backed company sees that market as key to its next growth phase.

Avantus Federal has acquired a company that provides intelligence and identity management services to entities in the U.S. military's special operations community.

No terms were disclosed regarding Avantus' purchase of Far Ridgeline Engagements, which was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

“For almost 15 years, Far Ridgeline Engagements has earned eminence by maintaining a strong focus on providing solutions to our nation’s special operations and intelligence missions critical in strengthening peace and security in today’s global threat and technology environment,” Avantus CEO Andy Maner said in a release Tuesday.

"This next phase of our growth will enhance our customers within the special operations and intelligence communities in need of the best tailored expertise and solutions."

Avantus is owned by private equity firm NewSpring Holdings and concentrates its offerings around data, cyber and space programs.

Prior to this transaction involving FRLE, Avantus' most recent acquisition was of Occam's Razor Technologies in July 2021 and focused on cybersecurity tool development work.

Blank Rome LLP served as legal counsel to Avantus.
