DHA chooses joint venture for $225M acquisition support contract

A joint venture owned by Tetra Tech’s Amyx subsidiary and Vivsoft has won a potential five-year, $225 million contract to provide acquisition-related and other administrative support services to the Defense Health Agency.
DHA’s Contracting and Acquisition Support Services contract is self-explanatory thanks to its name, but also involves a technical element.
The Defense Department’s Thursday awards digest lists engineering program management, procurement technician services and computer analyst support as additional areas of work. Small businesses of any socio-economic designation were eligible to pursue the contract.
AIX Tech is a mentor-protégé joint venture, which was formed in October 2022 and approved by the Small Business Administration.
Tetra Tech then acquired Amyx in 2023 as part of a multi-year strategy to further build out a federal IT and professional services franchise.
DHA originally awarded the work to Amyx in the summer of 2019 via a pair of task orders.
