This represents Nightwing's first purchase since its carveout from RTX and with new CEO Bob Coleman at the helm.
Nightwing, the cybersecurity and intelligence solutions company formerly part of RTX, has acquired a provider of managed security services in a move aimed at further building a full-spectrum cyber portfolio for government and commercial entities.
Roka Security opened for business in 2010 and touts itself as a boutique security firm specializing in full-scale network protection, defending against advanced attacks, and rapid response to security incidents.
Through this transaction announced Thursday, Nightwing adds infrastructure-as-code and data center operations offerings to complement its systems integration and intelligence services. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"We are enhancing our ability to provide technical training, secure data transport solutions, and critical infrastructure to clients when and where they need it most,” Nightwing’s chief executive Bob Coleman said in a release.
For Nightwing, this purchase represents its first such move under the ownership of the global investment giant Blackstone and with Coleman as CEO.
Blackstone purchased the Nightwing business in the spring of 2024 and Coleman joined in February to lead the 2,200-employee company. Coleman founded and led Six3 Systems from 2009 until its 2023 sale to CACI International for $820 million.
