The now-500 employee company gains a new footing at the Defense Intelligence Agency, among other customers.

Core One Solutions has acquired a provider of intelligence analysis and program management services in a push to extend across a broader range of defense and intelligence agencies.

Calhoun International opened for business in 2005 and has since evolved into a provider of mission support in counter- and human intelligence, planning and all-source analysis for national security customers.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Core One’s workforce will expand to approximately 500 people with Calhoun’s team joining the fold.

Core One is also touting the Defense Intelligence Agency, Army Intelligence and Security Command and the combatant commands as new clients via the acquisition.

As part of the transaction, Calhoun’s chief financial officer Nesha Burrows will transition to vice president of national security defense programs at Core One.

Sterling, Virginia-headquartered Core One counts the venture firm Blue Delta Capital Partners as among its investors. Prior to Calhoun, Core One’s most recent acquisition took place in early 2023 and centered on linguistic services provider Global Research Analytics.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP served as legal counsel to Core One. Holland & Knight LLP served as legal counsel to Calhoun.
