This is the company's second such panel of former government officials tasked to help guide strategies with a certain client set.

ManTech International has established a defense advisory board and tasked its panelists to guide the company's growth with that client set.

The group is chaired by David Hathaway, president of ManTech’s defense sector, and follows the company’s August announcement of a similar advisory board focused on civilian agencies.

Six of the defense advisory board’s members are retired military officers:

  • Bill Bender, retired Air Force lieutenant general and a former leader for its IT portfolio.
  • Kathleen Creighton, a retired Navy rear admiral and a former director of cybersecurity.
  • Peter Daly, a retired Navy vice admiral and a former commander of a carrier strike group.
  • Michael Groen, a retired Marine Corps lieutenant general and a former director of the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center.
  • Alan Lynn, a retired Army lieutenant general and former director of the Defense Information Systems Agency.
  • Kurt Sonntag, a retired Army major general and former commanding general for the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center & School.

The seventh panelist is Claire Grady, senior vice president of strategy at ManTech and a former director for the Defense Department’s procurement and acquisition policy office.
