Kepler promotes Conrad to lead US subsidiary
Kepler is pushing to grow the reach of its optical data relay network across federal agencies.
Kepler Communications has promoted a new president for its U.S. subsidiary in Robert Conrad, a three-decade space industry veteran who first joined the company in early 2023 to help lead business development efforts.
He will lead Kepler U.S.’ push to further expand the availability of its optical data relay network across the federal market, the company said Tuesday.
Toronto-headquartered Kepler stood up the subsidiary to focus on U.S. government work that includes contracts with clients such as NASA and the Space Development Agency.
Earlier this year, Kepler demonstrated optical satellite links on-orbit for SDA and touts itself as the first commercial company that achieved success in doing so.
Kepler designed its network to initially work in low-Earth orbit with the idea of extending further into other orbits.
Prior to Kepler, Conrad worked as a vice president of business development at SpaceLink.
