CGI Federal closes Aeyon purchase

The acquisition brings 725 employees to CGI Federal and an expanded reach with clients such as NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration.
CGI Federal closed its acquisition of Aeyon on Friday, bringing more artificial intelligence and digital transformation capabilities into the fold.
Aeyon brings 725 employees to CGI Federal and a portfolio of work with national security agencies, military branches and NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration.
“Aeyon’s advanced strategies and rapid response capabilities are built on a foundation of deep industry insight and a commitment to delivering better outcomes faster,” said Horace Blackman, a CGI Federal senior vice president, and leader of its U.S. defense, intelligence and space business.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The transaction was first announced in July.
Aeyon was a creation of Enlightenment Capital, which pulled the company together through a combination of two other businesses.
