B&A moves to new private equity owner
DFW Capital Partners adds a second government technology and services company to its portfolio in the market.
B&A, the federal IT integrator also known as Bart & Associates, is changing hands from one private equity owner to another following three years of being held by its now-former backer.
DFW Capital Partners has purchased B&A from Battle Investment Group and undertaken a recapitalization of the company as well. Terms of the transaction announced Tuesday were not disclosed.
McLean, Virginia-headquartered B&A becomes the second government technology and services provider backed by DFW alongside Sev1Tech following the 2019 transaction involving that contractor. Battle purchased B&A in 2022 with plans to make further investments in new technologies and delivery models.
In B&A's new announcement, the company said it would look to DFW for support on the hiring and talent fronts. B&A also touted DFW's experience in providing financial, business development and strategic planning resources needed for scaling.
B&A describes its six core service lines as covering cloud migration and modernization, agile DevSecOps software delivery, application transformation, data science and analytics, human capital management, and operations and enablement.
DC Advisory advised B&A on the transaction.
