CyberKinetics opened for business in 2008 and works with clients who have strict compliance mandates.

CASE, a software development specialist focused on intelligence agencies, has acquired a cloud and cyber services provider in a move to further extend across that customer set.

The addition of CyberKinetics also brings an added footing in technology service lines like data engineering and IT infrastructure planning to CASE. Terms of the transaction announced Monday were not disclosed.

Herndon, Virginia-headquartered CyberKinetics opened for business in 2008 and also touts the DevOps software development practice as a core competency. CyberKinetics gears its offerings toward federal agencies and clients in certain commercial sectors who have compliance mandates.

“CyberKinetics’ team of highly skilled app developers, data scientists and engineers understand the unique challenges that come with migrating to and designing for the secure cloud in the national security sector,” CASE's chief executive Paul Farmer said in a release. “Their addition catapults us into our next phase of growth and will enable us to meet our customers’ mission-critical challenges head on. This acquisition also provides the scale necessary to pursue larger contracts and provide additional opportunities for our employees.”

CASE is owned by the private equity firm AE Industrial Partners, which acquired the contractor in the fall of 2022 and subsequently merged it with fellow portfolio company FireTeam Solutions.
