A trio of CEO, president moves and more across the market

Comtech

The publicly-traded wireless technology company's board of directors on Tuesday fired now-former CEO Ken Peterman for what it called "conduct unrelated to “conduct unrelated to business strategy, financial results or previously filed financial statements."

John Ratigan, who joined Comtech in December as chief corporate development officer, will work as CEO on an interim basis during the board's search for a permanent chief executive.

Comtech's board also elected current member Mark Quinlan as chair in the wake of the departure of Peterman, who also stepped down from the board.

For Comtech's 2023 fiscal year ended July 31, the company recorded approximately $172 million in revenue from U.S. government contracts and subcontract work. That figure represents approximately 31% of company-wide sales.

Advanced IT Concepts

Juan Navarro has joined this global IT and professional services provider as chief executive following a one-year stint as CEO of HDT Global, a mid-sized military equipment supplier.

Navarro is the former CEO of Domo Tactical Communications, a wireless technology company that was acquired by Australia-headquartered Codan in 2021 for approximately $100 million.

AITC touts its operations for government and industry clients as covering at least 15 states and 31 locations within the continental U.S. The company's international footprint includes Germany, Belgium, Korea, Honduras, Saudi Arabia and Morocco.

Prior to DTC, Navarro led Chemring's subsidiary for North America as president.

Chugach Government Solutions

Jonathan Darlymple will hold the title of president for the federal services provider on an interim basis in the wake of Scott Davis' departure after three years in that capacity.

The Alaska Native Corporation is conducting an executive search for the next leader of its government contracting business line. Darlymple is CEO of the Chugach Alaska Corporation parent.

Chugach Government Solutions' core service lines include facility management and maintenance, IT, technical support, education and construction.

LMI

Kristen Cheman, a 14-year company veteran, has transitioned from her current role as senior vice president of digital and analytic solutions to SVP for the intelligence market.

LMI's SVP team is also gaining a new member in Keith Rodgers, who has been promoted from VP of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to SVP for digital and analytic solutions.

Rodgers joined LMI in late 2020 and will oversee LMI's work in emerging tech areas that include generative artificial intelligence.

Noblis

Mark Lay has been promoted to chief information officer from his current role of deputy CIO and succeeds current CIO Gail Hogan, who announced her retirement in December.

Lay, a 19-year Noblis veteran, will join the nonprofit science and technology organization's executive council and take on the responsibility of overseeing IT services inside the company. He will report to Chief Financial Officer Gary Sladic.

Hogan also oversaw Noblis' facility, real estate and corporate asset management functions in addition to her IT responsibilities.

Planned Systems International

Jerry Ambrosh has rejoined the IT solutions and services provider as chief growth officer to lead the integration of its offerings.

PSI opened for business in 1998 and describes the key elements of its business as including consulting, digital and managed services.

This is Ambrosh's second stint at PSI after the two-decade market veteran previously worked there in 2016 as its chief business development officer. PSI credits Ambrosh with helping position the company for three acquisitions, including that of ProSphere in 2021.

Tribalco

Scott Helmore has joined this military technology integrator's senior vice president ranks and will lead its engineering efforts in his new role there.

Tribalco is developing product and service lines for the Defense Department's JADC2 initiative and vision to connect every system and soldier in the field.

Helmore is a retired Army colonel who was the branch's first product manager for defensive cyber capabilities.

Virtru

Tiffanny Gates, the former Novetta CEO, has joined the board of directors for this global data encryption and digital privacy provider as it charts a path for public sector growth.

Gates led Novetta through its sale to and integration with Accenture's U.S. federal subsidiary, where she continues to be a board member.

She also is an operating executive at the investment firm Capitol Meridian Partners, as well as a strategic adviser to Halcyon and Ten Eleven Ventures.
