Park Place acquires federal data center support company

Park Place adds more channel partners and field engineers that help agencies maintain brand-name equipment.
Park Place Technologies has acquired a provider of data center infrastructure services and solutions to federal agencies in a move that represents an initial foray into the U.S. government market.
By purchasing SDV Solutions, Park Place is also adding more channel partners into its network and field engineers to the team. SDV's co-founder Mike McMahan will join Park Place as part of the transaction announced Wednesday, while other terms were not disclosed.
Mike and Erin McMahan started SDV in 2004 as a third-party services provider that works with many original equipment manufacturers.
“We will now be able to offer our federal clients a larger breadth of hardware maintenance, managed services and professional services," Mike McMahan said in a release.
SDV has provided hardware maintenance and support services for HP, Dell, and Juniper equipment to the departments of State, Justice, Defense, Homeland Security, Interior and Labor; plus the Environmental Protection Agency.
Park Place Technologies is led by CEO Chris Adams and describes itself as a global data center and networking optimization firm, whose service lines cover all phases of the IT management lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning.
