Plus a former House Armed Services Committee chairman joins the board of directors at one of the market's largest companies.
Accelera Solutions
Greg Dyer has joined Accelera Solutions as chief operating officer to oversee the delivery of this digital transformation company's tools and services to government clients.
Accelera touts its core lines of work as also including cloud computing migration and cybersecurity. The company's customer base includes the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, FBI, NASA, and Health and Human Services Department.
Dyer is a 26-year market veteran who most recently led growth strategies for the enterprise IT division at Aspetto, a provider of software and mobile application development services to agencies.
His career also includes stints as managing partner and chief strategy officer at Core4ce, plus an executive director position at CACI International.
General Dynamics IT
Kamal Narang has led the federal health unit for five years as vice president and with his promotion to senior VP, now becomes part of the executive leadership group at the defense company's IT business.
GDIT's health unit comprises of 3,000 employees and touts its annual revenue at around $1 billion. Narang will oversee the team's strategy and execution efforts to make those figures go higher.
In November, GDIT secured a potential $2.5 billion contract to help the Indian Health Service roll out a new information system in support of health care services for Native Americans and Alaska Natives.
Narang joined GDIT in 2018 through its acquisition of CSRA, where he also led that company's health group.
Hypori
Jerry Raphael has joined this specialist in mobility and cybersecurity services as chief financial officer amid the company's push to further expand across federal and commercial health customers.
Raphael is a 25-year financial leadership veteran who most recently was CFO at Securonix, a provider of security information and event management services.
His career also includes senior roles at Axonius and Stack Overflow, which respectively focus on cyber asset management and software knowledge sharing.
Hypori spun out from former parent Intelligent Waves in 2021 to further commercialize the core product line. IW's co-founder Jared Shepard started Hypori and leads it as chief executive.
Booz Allen Hamilton
Mac Thornberry, a former chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, has joined the company's board of directors with his term slated to take effect on April 1.
Thornberry's appointment increases the board's size from 11 directors to 12. He will also be a member of the panel's committees for compensation, culture and people; and nominating and corporate governance.
He represented Texas' 13th district from 1995 until 2021 and his tenure as committee chair took place from 2015 to 2019.
During his time in Congress, Thornberry helped move the legislation that created the National Nuclear Security Administration and several other technology-related bills impacting the Defense Department.
