General Dynamics promotes two-decade vet to finance chief
Current CFO Jason Aiken has worked for one year in both that position and as head of the technologies segment.
General Dynamics has promoted its next chief financial officer from within the company's own ranks in Kim Kuryea, currently senior vice president of human resources and administration.
She will move into the position currently held by Jason Aiken, who has worked for one year in the dual capacities of CFO and executive vice president of GD's technologies segment.
Aiken will focus exclusively on the operating duties of the technologies group when the CFO transition takes effect Feb. 15, GD said Friday. He was first appointed CFO in 2014 and first joined the company in 2002.
Kuryea is a two-decade GD veteran and her career there included a stint as CFO for the former advanced information systems unit, which was folded into the mission systems unit in 2015.
Shane Berg, senior vice president of planning and development, will move into the HR leadership role currently held by Kuyrea and also on Feb. 15.
GD also announced that Mark Roualet, executive vice president of the combat systems segment, told the company he will retire in April. Danny Deep, president of the land systems unit within combat systems, will move up to that EVP role and that promotion takes effect April 15.
