Agile Defense brings in new growth chief
The digital transformation company makes this key hire on the heels of a needle-moving win to shape its outlook.
Agile Defense has hired a new chief growth officer in John Hart, a 25-year industry veteran who joins the digital transformation company after working in that same role at Valiant Integrated Services.
Hart will help lead the creation of strategies to position Agile Defense as a leading integrator of new technologies for government agencies, the company said Tuesday.
One significant component of that blueprint will be growth on existing programs, including and especially a potential $1 billion contract the company booked in November for test and evaluation services to the Defense Information Systems Agency.
Agile Defense is backed by the government market investment firm Enlightenment Capital and hired former Microsoft federal leader Rick Wagner as CEO in the fall.
Prior to Valiant, Hart worked as vice president of business and capture for the defense solutions business at Peraton.
Hart joined Peraton in the wake of its combination in 2021 with Perspecta. His career also includes leadership roles at the public sector businesses of DXC Technology and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
