Acclaim Technical Services buys cloud, virtualization specialist
The employee-owned ATS expands its workforce to 600 staffers with this acquisition.
Acclaim Technical Services has acquired a provider of technology and network services to intelligence community agencies as part of a push to further solidify itself as a mid-tier company in that customer set.
ATS expands its workforce to approximately 600 employees with the addition of Alder Technology, which concentrates its mission IT service offerings on Tier 1-3 networks. Other terms of the transaction announced Monday were not disclosed.
Founded in 2012, Alder works with its customers on adopting automation technologies that include cloud computing environments and virtualization tools. The company touts its current initiatives as also encompassing software-defined networking, cybersecurity, insider threat detection, and support for workload infrastructures that use artificial intelligence and machine learning.
This purchase represents ATS' fifth such in the past four years as the 13-year-old, employee-owned company continues on its strategy that centers around technology, intelligence, operational, training and language services.
ATS is backed by the government market investment firm Blue Delta Capital Partners and has used that support to acquire Axis of Engineering in 2019, Global Consulting Services in 2020, Entegra Systems in 2021 and OASIC Engineering in 2023.
G Squared Capital Partners advised Alder Technology. Legal counsel for Alder was DLA Piper. ATS' legal counsel was Holland & Knight. Pinnacle Financial was the provider of banking services.
