Dr. William "Bill" Vantine will advise the company on positioning itself as an emerging business.

The board of directors at A-TEK, a small business focused on federal science and technology programs, has elected a new member in former Systems Planning and Analysis CEO Dr. William "Bill" Vantine.

Vantine most recently led SPA from 2016 through 2022, a period that saw the government services company get acquired by Arlington Capital Partners in the fall of 2021.

“As A-TEK continues to expand our presence in federal health, we are thrilled to have Bill join our board," A-TEK's chief executive Kathryn Freeland said in a release Wednesday. "With a proven track record and a wealth of experience in strategically leading hyper-growth organizations, I look forward to working with Bill and gaining invaluable advice and guidance on positioning A-TEK as an emerging business.”

Vantine is on the boards of several companies including Janus Research Group and a member of NASA's advisory committee for the International Space Station.
