Capgemini's federal subsidiary promotes new CEO

The digital transformation business' leader for the past nine years is retiring.

Capgemini's subsidiary working in the U.S. federal market has promoted a new chief executive from its own ranks in the wake of the outgoing CEO's retirement.

Bill Webner will lead Capgemini Government Solutions through the next phase of its strategy to expand its digital transformation, technology consulting and other lines of business across federal agencies. Webner succeeds Doug Lane, who has held the CEO role for the past nine years.

Capgemini Government Solutions is headquartered in McLean, Virginia and independently managed given the parent company's hub is in Paris. The subsidiary first opened for business in 2002.

Webner joined the business in 2014 as a vice president and has since helped lead its organic and acquired growth in the federal market.
