Booz Allen's board adds senior Ericsson exec
This three-decade tech sector veteran led Vonage through its sale to Ericsson in the summer of 2022.
Booz Allen Hamilton's board of directors has elected a new member in Rory Read, president and chief executive of the Ericsson subsidiary Vonage.
Read becomes the 11th member of the board after a vote to increase the panel's size from 10 members, the company said Monday.
Vonage is a provider of cloud-based communications products and solutions predominantly in the business-to-business marketplace.
Read joined Vonage in the summer of 2020 as CEO and led the company through its estimated $6 billion sale to Ericsson that closed in July 2022, after which he joined Ericsson's management team in his current capacity.
The three-decade technology sector veteran also held senior executive roles at Dell, where as chief integration officer he helped oversee the combination of Dell with EMC Corp. He also spent 23 years at IBM.
