Cohesity hires new public sector lead exec

Information security company Cohesity has hired nearly three-decade technology veteran Kevin Davis as vice president of federal sales.
Davis joins Cohesity from Databricks, where he was vice president of that company's public sector business over four years with responsibility over its industry partnerships. Prior to Databricks, he worked in that same position at Splunk for another four-year period.
His career also includes public sector sales leadership roles at Oracle, Borland Software and Macromedia.
San Jose, California-headquartered Cohesity develops its software for IT professionals to backup, manage and obtain insights from data across multiple systems or cloud infrastructure providers.
