IBM brings in new federal tech sales leader
Big Blue is looking to expand its digital transformation work for agencies.
IBM has hired a new vice president of federal technology sales in Mark Johnson, a 25-year government market veteran who most recently spent a decade at Oracle.
Johnson joins IBM amid its push to further expand its digital transformation work for federal agencies involving hybrid cloud computing and artificial intelligence. IBM also is looking to further build out its partnership ecosystem, Big Blue said Thursday.
Terry Halvorsen, formerly general manager for IBM's federal division, is moving to a new role as vice president of federal client development. That role puts him in charge of all targeted new business growth efforts for IBM.
Other key members of the IBM federal leadership team include Susan Wedge, general manager for consulting and public sector; and Katharyn White, vice president of the IBM Federal Ecosystem.
