DMI hires new federal segment leader

DMI has hired a new president for its federal segment in Amy Rall, a three-decade government market veteran and former chief executive of another public sector-focused software services company.

Rall joins the Bethesda, Maryland-headquartered digital modernization provider amid an almost one-year period of accelerated expansion with the backing of its private equity owner OceanSound Partners.

In late October, DMI announced its acquisition of The Ambit Group to add more of a presence among federal agencies that have regulation authority over sectors such as banking and emergency response.

“This is a unique time in the federal marketplace, where a mid-size company with outstanding commercial capabilities and deep federal mission understanding will stand out because of our ability to truly partner with agencies to achieve their digital transformation goals," Rall said in a release Thursday.

Most recently, Rall was the CEO of the government technology integrator Linkware Group that focused on automation and border management technologies.

Prior to Linkware, she was senior vice president of the homeland and critical infrastructure business unit at Science Applications International Corp. Rall joined SAIC in 2020 through that company's acquisition of Unisys Corp.'s federal segment, where she held that same position title.
