Red River appoints former SAP exec as CEO

The two-decade industry veteran joins nearly a year after Red River was itself acquired.

IT services company Red River said Thursday it has hired a new chief executive officer in Brian Roach, a nearly two-decade industry veteran who will start in the position May 31.

He joins Red River from SAP North America, where he spent six years and most recently led its regulated industries practice in the U.S. He oversaw the business’ work with public sector agencies, as well as customers in industries that are government-influenced.

Red River is headquartered in Claremont, New Hampshire and has a managed services hub in Chantilly, Virginia. The company has recorded $247.1 million in unclassified federal prime contract revenue over the last 12 months, according to USASpending.gov data.

Roach's appointment to lead Red River comes nearly a year after it was acquired by private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management, whose other major government IT market holding is NetCentrics Corp.

His career prior to SAP includes senior roles at Juniper Networks, Microsoft, Lockheed Martin and Unisys.
