Sophos brings in new federal lead
The security software company makes this hire as it pushes to gain government authorization for its product.
Sophos Group, a U.K.-headquartered security software company, has hired an executive to lead its federal business and the push to gain government-wide approval for hosting its product in a cloud computing environment.
Nearly two-decade market veteran Rob Lalumondier will be vice president of federal at Sophos and lead efforts to further expand its footing in that market, the company said Wednesday.
Lalumondier joins Sophos as the provider of automation-based cyber products and services is working toward gaining authorization for its flagship product under the FedRAMP program overseeing cloud computing security requirements for agencies.
Prior to Sophos, Lalumondier worked as executive director of McAfee’s federal civilian unit and before that was director of defense and intelligence at Intel.
