The 13-year veteran of the tax collection agency will oversee efforts to expand technology modernization offerings for civilian agencies.

Maximus has hired a new vice president and strategic client executive for its federal civilian business line in Stan Hawkins, who joins after 13 years at the Internal Revenue Service.

Hawkins joins Maximus to help lead its push in further developing and broadening its technology modernization offerings for federal agencies, the government services company said Wednesday.

He most recently was director of an IRS application development effort that sought to build, maintain, test and deliver systems for internal functions such as financial systems, payroll and support for tax courts.

Prior to that, he was the tax collection agency’s director of enterprise technology implementation with responsibility for large IT program initiatives.
