NetImpact hires USDA, Navy vet as innovation chief

NetImpact Strategies brings on board a former USDA and Navy IT executive as chief innovation officer.

NetImpact Strategies has hired nearly three-decade IT veteran and former Agriculture Department executive Chad Sheridan as chief innovation officer.

Sheridan will oversee the systems modernization and cloud services provider’s collaborations with partners to develop new IT and business solutions for customers, NetImpact said Monday.

Falls Church, Virginia-based NetImpact also focuses on programs with agencies related to data-driven intelligence and cybersecurity.

Most recently, Sheridan was at USDA for 15 years and oversaw development and operations of IT systems to support the department’s overall farm production and conservation mission. Sheridan also led the standup of Farmers.gov as part of USDA’s digital transformation initiatives during his career there.

He also spent 18 years of active duty and civilian service with the Navy, where he ultimately became deputy director of IT management with responsibility over a budget of at least $100 million.
