Alion Science and Technology adds to its leadership team Todd Stirtzinger, a three-decade market veteran formerly of L3Harris Technologies.

Alion Science and Technology has appointed three-decade defense market veteran Todd Stirtzinger as senior vice president of its advanced technology group.

Stirtzinger will oversee the company's technology development work that involves advancing weapons, reverse engineering, prototyping, trusted hardware, and resilient avionics and logistics. He will also oversee engineering solutions and services for defense and intelligence agencies, Alion said in a release Tuesday.

Prior to Alion, Stirtzinger was a sector and division president for five years at L3Harris Technologies and its pre-merger legacy L3 Technologies business. He also spent 25 years at Leonardo DRS and is a former chief executive of Contec DTx Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Japan-based electronics maker Contec.
