Wireless tech outfit making government push with exec shift

Wireless mesh network Rajant Corp. creates a new executive leadership role for its military and government business.

Wireless mesh network provider Rajant Corp. has shifted Michael Van Rassen, executive vice president of business development, to the newly-created role of EVP for the company’s military and government segment.

Van Rassen’s appointment took effect April 16 and he will oversee efforts to grow its Kinetic Mesh network offering among potential government customers, Rajant said Wednesday.

Kinetic Mesh is designed to help facilitate situational awareness, tactical strategies and convoy communications.

Van Rassen was appointed executive VP of business development in 2017 after a 20-year career in Army acquisition both as a uniformed officer and civilian.

He led acquisition efforts in areas such as command and control, communications, radars, missiles and guns.
