DLA taps Serco Inc. for $101M chemical management contract

Serco Inc. wins a $101 million contract for chemical management services at three Navy sites responsible for support of the branch's aircraft.

The Serco Group subsidiary for the U.S. and Canada has won a five-year, $101 million contract for chemical management services at three Navy Fleet Readiness Center sites.

The Defense Logistics Agency awarded the contract and received three offers in the competition.

Serco Inc. will perform work at Fleet Readiness Center East in North Carolina, Fleet Readiness Center Southeast in Florida and Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in California.

Fleet Readiness Centers fall under the Naval Air Systems Command’s responsibility and are responsible for production, maintenance, repair and overhaul of airframes, engines, components and support equipment for Navy aircraft.
