LMI acquires Suntiva to further public health & defense push

LMI has made an acquisition to both further entrench its presence in public health and also add more of a footprint with certain defense agencies.

Tysons, Virginia-headquartered LMI said Tuesday it purchased Suntiva in a deal that will increase the acquirer’s workforce to more than 2,000 consultants. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Started 2002, Suntiva works on business transformation and technology integration efforts for federal agencies with a focus on digital solutions and the workforce.

Falls Church-headquartered Suntiva touts its areas of expertise as including IT, governance, organizational performance, human capital and the federal acquisition lifecycle.

LMI essentially wants to blend its logistics, policy, science, analytics and management advisory services with what Suntiva does in the technology realm to accelerate business solutions for public health customers.

Some examples of Suntiva’s customers that are new to LMI include the Agriculture Department’s Food and Nutrition Service, Army Response Team and Defense Department Joint Artificial Intelligence Center.

Suntiva also works with the Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health and Defense Information Systems Agency.
