Dell added to $2.56B Navy software pact

Find opportunities — and win them.

Dell receives the second seat on a $2.56 billion blanket purchase agreement for the Navy to purchase Microsoft brand name licenses and products.

Dell has been awarded a place on a potential five-year, $2.56 billion blanket purchase agreement to supply Microsoft brand name software licenses, and IT products and services to the Navy.

This award announced Friday in the Pentagon’s daily contracts digest comes within two weeks after the Navy awarded a seat on that BPA to Insight Public Sector. Both companies were the lone bidders for the vehicle.

Awardees will perform work through delivery orders to supply commercially-available perpetual licenses, software assurance, user-based subscription licenses for Microsoft’s 365 and Azure cloud offerings. Client access licenses will also be available.

Orders can be placed against the BPA through May 31, 2026. The Coast Guard and other Defense Department components can also use the vehicle to acquire the Microsoft licenses, products and services.

The Navy awarded the pact through DOD’s Enterprise Software Initiative that aims to streamline the process of acquiring commercial software licenses and IT platforms in compliance with the department’s technical standards.
