Cisco has won a potential three-year, $1.18 billion contract for technical support services to Defense Department personnel who use that company’s software products.
The Defense Information Systems Agency received two other bids for the award, according to the Defense Department’s Monday awards digest.
Work will take place over one initial base period and up to a pair of individual option years.
San Jose, California-based Cisco’s services will include its Smart Net Total Care offering that includes round-the-clock hardware, digital and automated management support.
DOD can also lean on Cisco’s Technical Assistance Center for help in managing incidents, security and product alerts, service coverage and installed bases.
