AeroVironment moves corporate headquarters to DC region

AeroVironment has relocated its corporate headquarters to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region from the former longtime home in Greater Los Angeles.

AeroVironment has relocated its corporate headquarters to Arlington, Virginia from the former longtime home in Greater Los Angeles.

In its explanation of the move Tuesday, AeroVironment is citing the same reason so many other defense and government services companies have given over the years: greater access to government customers and officials.

“Our recent acquisition of Progeny Systems ISG and our new artificial intelligence innovation center expand our footprint near the Beltway and build on our momentum as we continue to grow our portfolio and global scope,” CEO Wahid Nawabi said in the release.

AeroVironment will maintain existing operations in the city of Simi Valley.
