PAE's board elects two new members

Find opportunities — and win them.

PAE’s board of directors adds two new members: a retired Navy vice admiral along with a managing director at the private equity firm that once owned the company before its deal to go public.

PAE’s board of directors has elected a pair of new members in retired Navy Vice Adm. Mary Jackson and Delara Zarrabi, a senior investment professional and managing director at investment firm Platinum Equity.

"Their appointments will not only add a broad range of skills to our board, but also support our commitment to diversity at the board level,” PAE board chairman Marshall Heinberg said in a release Monday.

Jackson retired in July 2020 after a three-decade military career that included service in roles such as commander of Navy Region Southeast and commander of Navy Installation Command. She also advised the chief of naval operations and Navy secretary on strategies for infrastructure, shore resiliency, and diversity and inclusion.

Platinum Equity is the former majority owner of PAE, which undertook a public listing last year after it merged with a special purpose acquisition company last year. A group of other minority investors including Platinum Equity held approximately 28 percent of the equity in PAE after the close.

Zarrabi’s career prior to Platinum Equity includes stints as a principal at private equity firm Pain & Partners and investment banking analyst at CIBC World Markets.
