Defense Intell Agency picks dozens for $12.6B IT contract

The Defense Intelligence Agency has made dozens of awards for a much-anticipated 10-year, $12.6 billion contract vehicle to consolidate much of its IT acquisition activity into one mechanism.

DIA chose 144 companies in all for this third iteration of its Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise contract also known as SITE, the Pentagon said in its Tuesday contracts digest.

Only two proposals were not selected for an award, bringing the total number of bids to 146.

Small businesses represent 107 of the awardees, of which the full list can be found here.

Companies will compete for task orders to perform IT and technical support services to DIA and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Task order areas will include enterprise activities and services, infrastructure development and sustainment, application development and sustainment, support core functions and cybersecurity services.

Unified voice, video and messaging tools are also covered under this contract.

Work will take place at company and government facilities in the continental U.S. and overseas through March 1, 2031.

SITE III is the successor contract to E-SITE, or Enhanced Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise, which opened for business in 2015 with around 50 companies on it and discontinued last year with no extension.

DIA combined a $3 billion IT infrastructure vehicle and a $2.1 billion applications contract to form E-SITE.
