AT&T secures $231M Treasury modernization win
AT&T takes in a $231 million task order to modernize the Treasury Department’s voice and data communications networks as part of the larger EIS modernization effort.
AT&T has secured a potential $231 million task order to modernize the Treasury Department’s voice and data communications networks in support of approximately 100,000 agency employees.
The order is part of the government-wide Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions vehicle for agencies to adopt next-generation telecommunications environments, AT&T said Tuesday.
Work will take place over 12 years and also include cybersecurity protection services as AT&T works with the Treasury to carry out an evolutionary technology roadmap with a more mobile, disaggregated workforce in mind.
AT&T will deliver its services across 700 geographically dispersed sites that Treasury’s employees are located in.
For the Treasury, this is the second major EIS order finalized across its larger enterprise alongside the Internal Revenue Service’s award of a similar but separate $341 million modernization job to Verizon in October 2019.
