The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration makes room for one additional company on that agency's $2.1 billion IT systems modernization blanket purchase agreement reserved for small businesses.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has added one more company to the list of awardees for a $2.1 billion IT services and systems modernization blanket purchase agreement.

With this latest award, the number of winners for the NOAA Mission IT Services contract also known as NMITS nudges up to 82. NOAA made the award to Systems Integration & Development on Feb. 3, according to a Federal Procurement Data System filing.

The initial group of 81 awardees was revealed in late November 2020, while NOAA evaluated a total of 85 responses that passed an initial compliance and eligibility review.

Systems Integration & Development was one of five protestors who challenged their elimination from consideration for a seat on NMITS but were denied in the early fall of last year.

But NOAA has apparently since reconsidered what SID had to offer for the contract, which is for small businesses only.

Awardees will vie for task orders in work areas such as enterprise services, customer support, applications, enterprise and cloud computing, data and voice network services, cybersecurity and information assurance.
