General Dynamics’ board of directors adds a new member in Robert Steel, a former CEO of Wachovia
General Dynamics’ board of directors has elected a new member in Robert Steel, a former CEO of Wachovia and treasury undersecretary for domestic finance.
Steel has been appointed to serve on the board’s finance and benefit plans committee, the company said Wednesday.
He currently is a partner at global financial services firm Parella Weinberg Partners. Steel’s career also includes service as deputy mayor for economic development in New York City and three decades at Goldman Sachs, where he eventually led its global equities division and became vice chairman.
