Raytheon promotes new transformation chief from within

Raytheon Technologies has promoted nearly two-decade aerospace market veteran and former United Technologies executive Michael Dumais as chief transformation officer.

Dumais will oversee RTC’s transformation efforts that have a 12-month timeline to roll out and focus on company-wide technology initiatives to change business processes and reduce certain costs, the company said Tuesday.

Most recently, Dumais was executive vice president of operations and strategy at the former United Technologies Corp. prior to its merger with Raytheon in April 2020. His UTC career also includes roles such as senior vice president of strategic planning and leadership over the power, controls and sensing systems unit.

For RTC, this is the second C-level executive appointment it has announced in January. RTC also brought over former T-Mobile executive Marie Sylla-Dixon as its chief diversity officer and she started on Jan. 4.

Sylla-Dixon leads the overall strategy for diversity, equity and inclusion. The role also integrates initiatives from talent management, community engagement, public policy, supplier diversity and external communications.

She spent 11 years at T-Mobile and most recently was vice president for government and external affairs, a position that included community outreach through the acquisition of Sprint.
