ManTech closes buy of cyber defense firm

ManTech completes its acquisition of a company focused on cyber defense that also further entrenches the buyer with intelligence community clients.

ManTech has made further inroads into the cyber defense and intelligence markets with the acquisition of Minerva Engineering.

Terms of the deal announced Thursday were undisclosed. Minerva also adds more skilled and cleared professionals to ManTech’s collection of cybersecurity talent.

Hanover, Maryland-based Minerva was founded in 1997 and its primary customer base is in the intelligence community through services such as risk and vulnerability assessment, incident response, cyber intrusion detection and wireless signal discovery.

ManTech also touted the transaction as growing its base of contracts and past performance qualifications.

G Squared Capital Partners acted as the financial adviser to Minerva.
