General Dynamics CEO to join JPMorgan Chase board

JPMorgan Chase announced Wednesday that its board of directors has elected the General Dynamics Chairman and CEO as a new member with her term taking effect on that date.
Alongside Jamie Dimon as chairman and CEO, JPMorgan’s board already includes several other notable business names such as IBM Executive Chairman and former CEO Ginni Rometty and former ExxonMobile Chairman and CEO Lee Raymond.
JPMorgan is the largest bank in the U.S. by total assets and the seventh-largest in the world, as well as the most valuable bank in terms of market capitalization.
“Phebe Novakovic is one of the most respected executives in business today, whose deep knowledge and leadership in the defense and intelligence communities, technology and cyber will add tremendous value to our company as we navigate a rapidly changing environment,” Dimon said in a release.
She is also a member of the boards at Abbott Laboratories, Northwestern University, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation and the National Military Family Association.
