Cyber intelligence firm looks to former In-Q-Tel chief as new CEO

Find opportunities — and win them.

Cyber intelligence company LookingGlass reshapes its executive leadership team and that includes the appointment of In-Q-Tel's first ever leader to become CEO.

On the heels of closing a divestiture, cyber intelligence company LookingGlass has reshaped its executive leadership team to steer growth in both government and commercial markets.

Executive Chairman Gilman Louie has been appointed CEO, while one of LookingGlass’ strategic advisers and investors in Don Gilberg is joining the company as president and chief operating officer.

Former Mitre Corp. executive Mary Yang has also been hired as senior vice president of marketing, LookingGlass said Thursday. Ron Nielson, former senior vice president of public sector, was promoted to executive vice president.

A member of LookingGlass’ board since 2012, Louie is also known as the first CEO of the intelligence community’s venture capital arm In-Q-Tel and led that organization from 1999 until 2006.

For LookingGlass, these moves come within the same week that it announced the sale of its Cyveillance threat intelligence business to ZeroFox for an undisclosed sum. Louie will join the board of directors at ZeroFox.
